Services and Responsibilities:

The District Court of Benton County is obligated to handle all matters involving traffic, non-traffic, and parking infractions, anti-harassment, and small claims up to $5000 (business) or $10,000 (individual). Besides, the District Court also has concurrent jurisdiction with the Superior Court over civil actions involving amounts up to $100,000. Further District Court responsibilities include, civil and small claims, domestic violence, name change, certificate of judgments, and other miscellaneous documents.

Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk of Benton County is an elected official, responsible to provide assistance to the local judiciary by means of managing all court documents, providing calendars and dockets for hearings and trials, safekeeping of documents and case files, issuing writs and bench warrants ordered by the court, handling and management of trust funds held by order of the court.
