Service and Responsibilities:

The County District Clerk is responsible for recording and maintaining instruments or other documents related to the District Court civil or criminal case. The responsibilities provided by the District Clerk include, preparing and recording documents impaneling both petit and grand juries, staffs the courtroom during trials and hearings to record verdicts, judgments, and other copies in the Minutes of the Court, maintaining the court docket, collecting filing fees in civil cases, collecting court costs, fines and restitution in criminal cases, processing documents for civil and criminal cases transmitted to the court of appeals. Besides, the District Clerk also manages trust accounts for the court, administers child support, and processes passport applications.
