Service and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Court Clerk’s Office is to record, file, and maintain as permanent records the proceedings of the District Court except those related to juvenile, guardianship, adoption, and mental health cases. Additionally, the Court Clerk issues marriage licenses and private process server licenses. Besides, the Court Clerk also manages the collection of monies from the court fund, and are later identified for distribution to the appropriate units of County and State Government. Furthermore, the Court Clerk uses forms and follows the guidelines recommended by the Office of the Court Administrator, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, and the State Auditor and Inspector.

Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk serves as the custodian of records and registrar of deeds for the County. The County Clerk also holds the position as the secretary to the Board of County Commissioners, the County Excise Board, the County Board of Equalizations, and the Board of Tax Roll Corrections. The County Clerk reviews all the claims for payment of goods and services purchased or contracted by the County and prepares the proper warrants for payment of those goods and services and the County payroll. The Clerk’s Office also maintains a list of fees that can be charged for copying documents which are classified as open records. Besides, the County Clerk, or one’s designated deputy, serves as the purchasing agent for the County.
