Service and Responsibilities:

The County Court Clerk’s is primary responsibilities are to record, file, and maintain the District Court proceedings by keeping books such as trial dockets, case files, and journals useful for locating past court proceedings. The Clerk’s Office also maintains case files, collects court fees, fines, costs assessments, and forfeiture as well as distributes or expends collected monies. Besides, the Court Clerk issues legal warrants, including subpoenas, summons, orders, processes, and writs as allowed by statute, issuing marriage licenses and other county licenses. Furthermore, the Court Clerk’s also office stands as the minister’s Credentials registers, as a Custodian of the County Law Library, and as a county commissioner.
