Service and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Court Clerk’s office is to record, filing, collecting fines, fees, forfeitures, and maintaining the proceedings of the District Court in Comanche County as permanent records. Moreover, the office also handles expenditures such as; jurors and witness fees, public defender salaries, transcript purchases, forms printings, postage, utilities, courtroom maintenance, furniture, equipment, and general supplies. Besides, the office of the Court Clerk responsibilities extends to assisting personnel to District, Associate, and Special Judges, as well as maintaining statistics regarding the filing and disposition of all cases and conserving the integrity of all County District Court cases. The Office of the Court Clerk is divided into three offices: Civil, Criminal, and Small Claims.

Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk’s Office is responsible for maintaining county records, deeds, mortgages, development plats, tax liens, and Uniform Commercial Codes, open records act, excluding court and marriage records. By the Statues of the Oklahoma State, the County Clerk’s Office also oversees the duties of the Registrar of Deeds. Besides, as the Board of the County Commissioner, the County Clerk’s Office handles secretarial duties such as compiles the budgets, scheduling the meeting minutes, and acts as the county purchasing agent. Furthermore, the County Clerk’s Office also assists in the bidding and purchasing of items for the county.
