Individuals who have been found guilty of a sex crime such as sexual assault, rape, prostitution, and sex trafficking are classified as sex offenders. By law, sex offenders must register in the sex offender database of the state they reside in. The US Department of Justice collects all the information listed on each state’s database and lists them in a separate system – the National National Sex Offender Public Website. Every US citizen is allowed access to these databases.

Bear in mind that the “sex offender” classification is different for each state. Some states consider individuals who are found guilty of public urination or unlawful imprisonment, crimes that are not considered sexually motivated, as sex offenders. As sex offenders, they are required by those states to register in the database.

If you want to find out if any sex offenders reside in Clark County, you can visit the state sex offender database

Take note that the state does not guarantee that the information listed in the database is accurate or complete. Some sex offenders may not update their information so search results will only show their last known address. Others may only list the block where they live instead of their complete address.

Bail and Bondsman

If you are arrested in Clark County, the court may allow you to post bail, allowing you to be temporarily released from jail while you await your trial. The type of bail and the amount will be dependent on the charges filed against you. For some cases, the bail set by the judge requires full payment and in cash only. In other cases, the court only requires partial payment of the bail amount. If you don’t have the money to post bail, you can get in touch with a local bondsman who can pay the bail for you. In return for his services, the bondsman will charge a non-refundable fee, usually 10% of the bail amount. He will then be held accountable by the court in making sure that you appear in court on the day of your trial. If you don’t, he will lose the money he paid to the court.
