Unfortunately some see Sundays as a day to drive recklessly or engage in street racing/takeovers, endangering Angelenos & causing traffic collisions, at times with severe or fatal consequences. The community is asking for greater enforcement & @LAPDSouthTraff will be out today. https://t.co/naosLbx8Lc

Speed is the primary factor in most fatal traffic collisions & the LAPD is trying to save lives. Yesterday, South Traffic Division cited 117 speed violators. We’ve heard the communities concerns about people speeding, and we are committed to "Service to Our Communities". https://t.co/AN7XRarkeU

50+ crashes on LA freeways?

Our partners over at the CHP are in for a long night.

Please SLOW DOWN! https://t.co/AyY5r8lENH
Desmond Shaw @RoadSageLA
Here’s one of those 50 plus crashes on our freeways...CHP had to stop all lanes on the 5 South at Roxford to sort this out. Looks like everyone is OK but almost certainly rain related. Coming down hard here in Sylmar @CBSLA @KCBSKCALDesk https://t.co/5ps9cQo0QO
