Warm Springs Correctional Center is a medium-security prison located in Carson City, Nevada. It was converted to a medium-security men’s prison in 1998, then to a minimum custody facility in July 2003. This prison has been converted to different security levels multiple times throughout its history, and at one point, was a women’s correctional facility. Today Warm Springs Correctional Center houses up to 532 adult males.

Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays: 8 am-11 am and 12 pm-3 pm.

Visitation Policies:

  1. All visitors who are 18 years old or older shall be required to show a picture identification each time they visit. The forms of identification accepted by the NDOC – valid driver’s license from the state of residence, valid state photo identification card from the state of residence, valid military photo identification card, and valid passport.
  2. No inappropriate contact will be permitted in the visit hall. Only a closed mouth kiss and hug are allowed at the beginning and the end of the visit only.
  3. No gum or candy is permitted in the visit hall.
  4. Visitors are encouraged to call 24 hours in advance to make sure the inmate is still located at Warm Springs Correctional Center and that their visiting days have not changed.
  5. Processing begins at 8:00 am and ends at 2:30 pm Processing will pause at 10:00 am for institutional count and resume after count clears.
  6. All visitors must sign in, have their hand stamped, and be cleared through the metal detector.
  7. All visitors and their vehicles are subject to search.
  8. Inmates housed in the infirmary may be scheduled any day of the week but will visit behind glass.
  9. All visiting must confirm to A.R. 719, O.P. 719 and Warm Springs Correctional Center Visiting Rules and Regulations.
  10. All visitors over the age of 18 will be required to sign a “Consent to Search” form. Minor(s) name and birth date will be added to the responsible adults “Consent to Search” form. Refusing to sign this form will automatically DENY your entrance to visit.
  11. A clothed pat search will be conducted upon completion of the visiting sign-in process on ALL visitors. Jackets, shoes, etc. need to be removed to be searched.
  12. All vehicles are subject to search at any time; this may include the use of certified Narcotic/Drug Detecting K-9’s.
  13. A maximum of four (4) approved visitors, per inmate, is allowed per visiting session (including children). However, through prior written approval of the Warden, additional visitors may be approved. This must be requested and approved at least five (5) days prior to the actual visit.
  14. The Visiting Room currently has a maximum capacity of 50 inmates, for the safety and security of the institution. As a result, we request that all visitors maintain their seating area in a clean and conservative manner. Minors must be accompanied by their guardians. Violations of this policy will be brought to the visitor/inmates’ attention.
