Inmate Search in Middlesex County Jail

The Middlesex County Jail does not have an available list of inmates incarcerated in their facility. The State of Massachusetts, however, supports the Victim Information and Notification Everyday system, so you can visit the site to check and receive notifications on the custody status of an offender. It’s recommended to visit the Jail personally at downtown Boston in the town of Billerica, Massachusetts or call them at (978) 667-1711 for inquiries.

Important Jail Policies and Procedures

It is the Policy of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (Policy and Procedure 483) that all visitors

Sex Offender Search and Lookup

All registered sex offenders are registered on either a national or state sex offender database. The people on these databases have been convicted of a sex or kidnapping crime. The definition of a sex offender is a person convicted of a crime involving sex, including rape, molestation, and production or distribution of child pornography.

You can access this information online for Middlesex County by going to this link, but bear in mind that searches sometimes reveal primary last known addresses or, rather the block that they live on. You are also required to accept a disclosure to use the database.

Bail and Bail Bondsman

Massachusetts is one of 8 states that does not allow private commercial bail bonding. The remaining are Maine, Oregon, Illinois, Kentucky, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C. When no other funding options are available to you, you may have to spend the time between hearing and trial in jail. Remaining in jail is at no cost to you, but if you are innocent it can be a traumatic experience you probably want to avoid. To avoid jail time, there are still options in states like Massachusetts.

A signature bond is a way for friends and family to take responsibility for you completing all your court responsibilities. Essentially a signature bond is a legal agreement, or promissory, that the defendant presents him or herself at court. So you need to present yourself or everyone on the signature bond agreement is held accountable. Ask your lawyer for more information.
