The Hendricks County Jail maintains a Weekly Arrest Report Online,

listing inmates who are currently detained in the facility. To locate an individual here, you can type in the inmate’s name in the search box provided. Each inmate’s file shows his complete name, demographic information, booking photo, charges, arresting agency, arrest date, arresting officer, address, and inmate classification.

Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates are allowed video visitation at the Hendricks County Jail. All visitors are required to create an account on the HomeWav website. New visitors accounts are approved Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Inmates are allowed three 30-minute onsite visits each week. Onsite visits are free of charge and must be scheduled 24 hours in advance pending visitor approval. The visitation schedule is as follows:

Sunday: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. , 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Monday: 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Tuesday: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. , 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Thursday: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. , 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. , 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. , 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. , 5:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Remote visits are also possible. The rate for video visitation is $.50 a minute. The rate for phone calls is $.21 a minute.

All visitors must dress appropriately. All visits are subject to recording and monitoring. All recording devices such as cameras and cell phones will not be permitted inside the visitation area.

Inmates are also allowed to receive mail. All correspondence to an inmate must include the sender’s complete name and address. The envelope must also be addressed in the following manner:

The correspondence itself must also contain a name and legible return address. Incoming mail that contains stickers, adhesives, powders, glitter, crayons, etc. will not be accepted. All incoming personal mail will be inspected for contraband, prohibited property, and funds for deposit. Inmates are allowed to receive photos in the mail provided that they are not lewd or obscene or contain material that is deemed to be contraband. Greeting cards will be accepted as long as they are no larger than 5 1/4″ X 7 1/4″.

Family and friends can deposit funds into an inmate’s acount by using the lobby kiosk, calling JailFunds at 1-855-836-3364, or going online at www.JailFunds.com. The jail will no longer accept money orders, cash, or checks sent through the mail.

Sex Offender Search and Lookup:

Federal law stipulates that all sex offenders must submit their information to local law enforcement which must be recorded in the state sex offender registry and the national sex offender registry. To be classified as a sex offender, a person has to have a conviction for a crime involving sexual misconduct such as rape, child pornography, and sex trafficking. Bail and Bondsman

An accused individual can stay out of jail while awaiting trial by posting bail. Bail is the process of securing the release of an inmate with the understanding that the defendant will be present at his trial. As insurance, the court will require a defendant to lodge money with the court which will be forfeited if he misses a court date.

If the defendant does not possess enough money for posting bail, a bondsman can be paid to act as a surety. The bondsman’s fee is set at 10% of the entire bail amount. This cannot be refunded at the end of the trial.
