Important Jail Policies and Procedures
The visiting hours at the Monroe County Jail are as follows:
Wednesday 1:30pm-3:00pm and Sunday 9:00am-11:00am (for males)
Wednesday 3:00pm-4:30pm and Sunday 1:00pm-3:00pm (for females)
Each inmate can recieve one visit per week. Visitors are required to present a valid photo ID upon signing in. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All visitors are subject to a search. Personal belongings will not be allowed inside the facility.
Family and friends can deposit money into an inmate’s commissary account by dropping off cash in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office. They can also send money orders through the mail.

Bail and Bondsman
Bail is the money or property that the court requires as collateral before it will allow a pretrial inmate to be released from custody.
