Macon County is located in the central part of Illinois. It has a population of 110,768 as of 2010. The county seat is Decatur. Macon County was for in 1829 and is named for Nathaniel Macon who was a colonel in the Revolutionary War. Macon was also a senator from North Carolina.

Future President Abraham Lincoln and his family lived in Macon County in 1830.

Onsite video visitation hours are available seven days a week from 8:20 am to 1:20 pm and 3:20 pm to 6:40 pm.
Online video visitation is available seven day s week rom 7:20 am to 1:20 pm and 43:20 pm to 9:20 pm.
