The Correctional Alternative Placement Program facility opened July 1, 2010. Management Training Corporation built the facility and operates the program. CAPP offers intensive treatment programs for substance abuse and cognitive issues for up to 438 low to moderate risk male inmates. It houses three different groups of inmates: probationers, parolees, and retained jurisdiction.

  1. Contraband: Idaho Code 18-2510 states that a person commits a crime by knowingly introducing or possessing contraband in a correctional facility.
  2. Contraband includes but is not limited to tobacco, cell phone(s) or telecommunication equipment, controlled/illegal substances, firearms or dangerous weapons, ammunition/explosives, and escape tools or devices. Violations are punishable by imprisonment of up to 5 years and/or fine of up to $10,000.
  3. If a visitor is late, they must wait until the next entry time. No Exceptions.
  4. Extended visit requests will continue to be considered and scheduled on a regular visitation day for the inmate requesting the visit, but must be submitted two weeks in advance of the intended visit and will only be for one day. This request must be originated by the offender in a concern form addressed to visiting. This is usually granted for visitors traveling from over 200 miles away and may be considered for additional days/time on a
    case by case basis if there is available space.
  5. There is a limit of three visitors per inmate per block of visitation.
  6. Application and background processing can take a minimum of two to four weeks.
